RESILIENCE SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION

Our Mission

The Tracy E Hill PhD & Associates Resilience Scholarship Foundation (est. 2026) exists to honor the resilience of young people who have faced mental health challenges — and to invest in their futures. We award annual scholarships to graduating high school seniors in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania and Denver, Colorado communities who have been impacted by mental health, celebrating their courage and amplifying their voices as they move beyond their secondary education.

Our Purpose

The Resilience Scholarship Foundation's purpose is to support graduating high school seniors in the Denver Colorado and Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania communities who have demonstrated courage, resilience, and growth in the face of mental health challenges — awarding annual scholarships to students who share their stories and inspire others through the power of their lived experience.

Why We Exist

Mental health touches every community, every school, and every family — yet the students who navigate these challenges are rarely recognized for the strength it takes to persist. We believe that lived experience is a form of wisdom, and that students who have faced mental health adversity deserve not only support, but acknowledgment. This Foundation was born from a counseling practice rooted in the belief that healing, growth, and resilience deserve to be celebrated.

Our Values

Compassion — We lead with empathy for every story shared.

Courage — We honor the bravery it takes to speak openly about mental health.

Community — We believe local investment creates lasting change.

Equity & Social Justice— We are committed to recognizing students of all backgrounds.

What We Do

Each year, the Foundation awards a minimum of one (1) scholarship of $250 in the Lehigh Valley, PA and one (1) scholarship of $250 in Denver, CO to a graduating high school senior who submits a personal essay describing how mental health has shaped their journey. Scholarship funds are disbursed directly to the recipient.

Eligibility

Scholarships are open to graduating high school seniors residing in Northampton or Lehigh County, PA (Lehigh Valley area) or the City and County of Denver, CO who plan to attend a postsecondary education, vocational program, or trade school.

Scholars & Honorees

A minimum of one $250 scholarship award will be granted for a Pennsylvania graduate honoree and a minimum of one $250 scholarship award will be granted for a Colorado graduate honoree. Award money may be sent (via check) to the individual scholars who were selected prior to graduation or given to honorees at graduation. Awards will also be presented at graduation ceremonies as schools permit.

APPLICATION PROCESS

In order to apply for the TRACY E HILL, PhD & Associates RESILIENCE SCHOLARSHIP GRANT, you must submit a personal essay of 500–750 words describing how mental health — their own or that of someone close to them — has impacted their life and shaped who they are today.

Essays should be sent to foundation@centerstreetcenter.com and the subject heading should state: SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION ESSAY. Essays are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Essays are due by April 1st of each graduating school year. No late entries will be accepted. No essays will be accepted that were written by AI (artificial intelligence). Essays should be written from the heart.
