When it comes to your well-being, your mental health is just as important as your physical health. In 2008, the Paul Wellstone and Pete Domenici Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (also known as the Mental Health Parity Law or Federal Parity Law) requires coverage of services for mental health, behavioral health and substance-use disorders to be comparable to physical health coverage. The Federal Parity Law requires insurance companies to treat mental and behavioral health and substance use disorder coverage equal to (or better than) medical/surgical coverage. The Law applies to most types of health insurance with the exception to Medicare and some state government plans. If you're unsure if your health insurance covers psychological, counseling, behavioral health services, contact your insurance representative or HR Director for more information.

We're always adding more so if you don't see your health insurance listed, just give us a call. We also provide out of network invoices for your healthcare companies. Psychedelic experiences have been utilized in various rituals and traditions across the world to assist individuals in finding healing and wholeness. Researchers began exploring the use of psilocybin back in the 1940's as a therapeutic intervention which confirmed that psilocybin can assist in the treatment of mental health conditions such as: depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, and a deeper connection with oneself and others. Current research with the VA and other organizations (click here for more info: https://www.reason-for-hope.org/), suggests that psilocybin promotes neuroplasticity, which is the growth of new neural connections. These neural networks may have been previously damaged via chronic stress and/or trauma. Neuroplasticity aids in the ability to learn new things and improve cognitive functioning.
Put simply, psilocybin can assist in letting down ego defenses that often act as a barrier in traditional talk therapy allowing for deeper processing and intimacy with oneself and others. Neuroplasticity helps kick start new habits and re-organize thought patterns, changing the way you respond to depression, anxiety, and trauma. That being said, psilocybin is not a magic bullet despite the term "magic mushrooms." Intentional preparation prior to psilocybin sessions and integration work post psilocybin sessions are essential to successful treatment.
Prior to a psilocybin session we will work together to develop a trusting therapeutic relationship, intentions for your journey (psilocybin experience) and appropriate grounding techniques. Psilocybin journeys often lead to strong feelings of peace and connection, however, it is not uncommon for clients to experience an out of body experience or challenging new insights. For this reason appropriate prep work is essential. During your journey, you will be monitored in a safe therapeutic setting. Many people describe the journey as mystical or spiritual experience, as innate knowings often arise. Afterwards, we will begin the psychedelic integration work to explore all insight gained.
Psychedelic Integration is a fundamental component to psilocybin assisted therapy and is also an option for those coming into therapy with past psychedelic experiences. These sessions are designed to provide you with a safe and supportive space to explore yourself. Dr. Hill is trained as a Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Guide and is a member of the Psychedelic Medicine Association.
Psilocybin for mental health use is currently considered an off-label use, Class I substance, and is not yet legal in PA or the DR (legal in CO). A full guided session takes between 4-6 hours ($2,500) and may be (or not) covered by your primary or ancillary insurance. Due to the high costs of PAT, you are responsible for the full fee regardless of whether your insurance reimburses a portion of it or not. Pre and post integration sessions are $175/session are typically covered by insurance as regular counseling and therapeutic sessions. We offer PAT in Colorado and Pennsylvania.
Group and individual retreats are available upon request. The Center does not provide any psychedelics due to the federal legalities of possession of psilocybin. Please contact the Center for more information.

Coaching and counseling are similar in some ways yet different in others. We strongly believe that counseling is a more in-depth approach to helping folks with their emotional and mental wellbeing. Whereas coaching focuses on real-time, quick answers and solutions for simple or short term situations.
We also believe that counseling does not occur over texting. Electronic communication is too vague and difficult to decipher emotional responses, voice intonation or inflection - which often leads to bigger issues. Moreover, counseling encompasses the whole person's physical, emotional and mental being.
Coaching can be done over texting due to the simpler issues at hand and by the very nature of coaching itself. Some of the greatest sports coaches of all time are the quintessential example of coaching, not counseling.
We offer three different plans depending on your needs. Each plan is weekly and paid on a monthly basis . From the simplest plan to the more in-depth, we have you covered. Coaching is for young adolescents to older adults.
Coaching services are not covered by insurance.
Texting is offered 8:00 am - 8:00 pm Monday - Friday the same as our office hours.
Coaches will return your text messages between those hours and within four hours of receiving any message from you within that time frame based on the plan you choose. If your coach is unavailable for a longer period of time due to emergencies, travel, etc., they will let you know as soon as possible.
Bronze Plan: The Bronze Plan allows for unlimited texting by you to our coach between the hours noted. Coaches will respond once daily to you. $50/week and $200/monthly.
Silver Plan: The Silver Plan allows for unlimited texting by you to our coach between the hours noted. Coaches will respond up to three times daily. One 30 minute virtual coaching session per month is included. $60/week and billed $240/monthly.
Gold Plan: The Gold Plan allows for unlimited texting by you to our coach between the hours noted. Coaches will respond up to five times daily. One 10 minute virtual coaching session per week is included. $70/week and billed $280/monthly.
